Before starting Aqua Sales & Services, owner Kevin spent years working hands-on in the pool industry, beginning in 2003. His background includes leak detection and pool repair, as well as sales experience with a pool distribution company where he worked directly with pool contractors and businesses across the region. That experience gave him a deep understanding of how pools should be built, maintained, and serviced for long-term performance.

Over the years, Kevin also saw the downside of the industry - pool companies that overpromised, cut corners, or left homeowners stuck with unfinished projects and expensive problems. He recognized a real need in Louisville, KY for a pool company built on honesty, accountability, and quality craftsmanship. Aqua Sales & Services was created to fill that void and provide customers with a team they can trust from start to finish.

The Project That Changed Everything

In 2019, Kevin built a pool as a favor for his mom. What started as a personal project quickly turned into something more. Through that build, he realized how much he enjoyed the full process of pool construction and backyard transformation, from planning and layout to the final finished product.



That experience helped shape the future of Aqua Sales & Services and confirmed that pool installation and renovation was where he wanted to focus long-term.

Kevin Geerts

Owner & Founder

Kevin Geerts is a Louisville, Kentucky native with more than 22 years of experience in the swimming pool and outdoor living industry. Born and raised in Louisville, Kevin has dedicated his career to helping families transform their backyards into spaces where memories are made and life is enjoyed outdoors.

As the Owner and Founder of Aqua Sales and Services, Kevin leads with a hands-on, client-first approach. His passion is rooted not just in building swimming pools, but in enhancing outdoor living experiences that bring families together. From design and construction to renovation and service, Kevin has worked in virtually every facet of the industry, giving him a deep understanding of both the technical and relational sides of the business.

Kevin has been married for 19 years and is the proud father of four amazing children. Being a husband and father is central to who he is, and that perspective directly shapes how he serves his clients—understanding that a backyard isn’t just a project, it’s where families gather, celebrate, and

grow.

A member of Southeast Christian Church, Kevin’s faith and community involvement are foundational to his leadership style and business values. Integrity, hard work, and genuine care for people guide every project he oversees.

Michael Stevens

Office & Operations Coordinator

Michael Stevens is a Louisville native with 28 years of hands-on experience in the swimming pool industry. Over nearly three decades, he has built a reputation for technical expertise, reliability, and exceptional customer care. 

Michael’s experience spans pool service, sales, equipment diagnostics, technical troubleshooting, and customer support. His deep industry knowledge allows him to approach every project with confidence—identifying challenges quickly, implementing practical solutions, and ensuring each pool operates safely and efficiently. 

Married for 13 years and a proud father of two children, Michael understands firsthand that pools are more than just backyard features—they are gathering places for families and lifelong memories. 

A lifelong supporter of the University of Louisville and devoted Louisville Cardinals fan, Michael embodies the loyalty, work ethic, and dedication that define his hometown roots.

Scott Geerts

Project Manager

Scott Geerts brings over 15 years of experience in the swimming pool and construction industry to the Aqua Sales and Services team. As a Louisville native, Scott understands the local market, the expectations of homeowners, and the importance of delivering quality craftsmanship that stands the test of time. 

Serving as a Project Manager, Scott oversees construction projects from start to finish, ensuring timelines, quality standards, and client expectations are consistently met. In addition to managing field operations, he actively supports the sales and design process for outdoor living projects—helping clients turn ideas into well-executed realities. 

Scott is married and has two beautiful daughters. Family is a central part of his life, and that perspective shapes the care and intentionality he brings to every backyard transformation. 

Known for his big heart and strong relational skills, Scott builds meaningful connections with coworkers, vendors, and customers alike. With experience in pool service as well, he is a true utility player for the company—ready to step in wherever needed to ensure success. His versatility, work ethic, and commitment to excellence make him a valuable asset to the Aqua Sales and Services team.

Bobby Branaman

Service Coordinator

Bobby Branaman brings more than 35 years of experience in the swimming pool industry to the Aqua Sales and Services team. His extensive background spans service, maintenance, repair, and construction—making him a true industry veteran who understands every phase of pool ownership from the ground up.

Known for doing the job right the first time, Bobby takes pride in precision, workmanship, and accountability. His depth of knowledge allows him to diagnose issues accurately, implement effective solutions, and ensure that every pool he oversees operates safely and efficiently.

As the leader of the service department, Bobby sets the standard for quality and customer care. He believes that excellence is not optional—it is expected. His commitment to craftsmanship and customer satisfaction reflects the core values of Aqua Sales and Services.

Bobby resides in Indiana, is happily married, and is a devoted father to eight children. His strong family foundation influences the integrity and dedication he brings to his professional role each day.

Bonnie Helwig

Business Administration Coordinator

Bonnie Helwig brings extensive experience as an executive administrator to the Aqua Sales and Services team. With a strong background in organizational leadership and operational support, Bonnie plays a critical role in ensuring the business runs efficiently and effectively behind the scenes.

Known for being organized, detail-oriented, and exceptionally helpful, Bonnie thrives in structured environments where precision matters. She is a true team player who supports key leadership roles while overseeing all business administration functions—from documentation and communication to financial coordination and internal processes.

Bonnie is happily married and has raised three amazing sons. Today, she enjoys a growing quiver of grandchildren and great-grandchildren who bring joy and energy to her life. She is also a devoted member of Southeast Christian Church, where her faith and commitment to serving others influence both her personal life and professional approach.
